Back in 2010, Bruce Jones, Ian Davis, John Bentley, and Karen Grant had several meetings around Bruce's dining room table to discuss their vision to build the best TEFL school in the world. 40,000 students later, and here we are - with numerous awards to our name to prove it! With hard work and many late nights, this team brought their vision to life and because of them, we continue to change the lives of thousands of people each and every year, and we wouldn't have it any other way!

DURING YOUR TEFL COURSE

International TEFL Academy is committed to providing the very best TEFL training available and at the heart of it all are our instructors, who meet the highest standards. All of our instructors possess advanced degrees (Masters Degrees, Ph.D.'s or the equivalent) and at least 10 years of teaching & training experience; all have lived and taught abroad as well, and are passionate about both teaching and living abroad.

Our Student Affairs Department serves enrolled students by providing support in areas like preparing for their course and their move abroad. Following enrollment, students receive lifetime job search guidance through the Student Affairs Department to assist them in navigating the international job market, gaining employment, and preparing to travel and live abroad.

Our dynamic Marketing team works to provide a smooth experience for our students from day one of the TEFL research process, through the process of getting TEFL certified, and eventually an official ITA Alumni. Chief Operating Officer

Joining the marketing team in 2021, Molly hails from Glens Falls, New York, and has lived in Virginia, Italy, Boston, and Chicago. She holds a Journalism degree from the University of Richmond and an MBA from Clarkson University. Molly studied abroad in Perugia, an Etruscan city in the Umbria region of Italy, famous for its chocolate and jazz.

A Chicago transplant, hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, Stu joined Team ITA in October of 2022. Stu brings extensive knowledge and a solid background in building and growing travel and teaching abroad companies, making him perfect for his new role as ITA's Director of Research & Development.

Laura Dix

Originally from New Jersey, Laura recently moved back to the US after spending 10 years in South Africa. She left for South Africa with two suitcases fully intending to be back in a year or two and returned with a husband, son, and two cats! She majored in Anthropology and African Studies at St. Lawrence University in Upstate New York.

Glenn returned to his roots in Chicago after completing a three year wander through North and South America which included a year teaching at a coal mine in Colombia. He can often be found riding his bike all around Illinois! Glenn loves adventure and bringing people together.

Hailing from Chihuahua, México, Bea traveled back and forth between Mexico and the USA before moving to Arizona for high school. She studied abroad in Italy and China before spending the next three years studying and teaching English in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, China. She now lives in Chicago with her partner and two cats.
