Thankfully, one of many quarter-life crises forced me to get my online TEFL Certification from International TEFL Academy. I did not want to wait until the upcoming autumn hiring season; I was ready to start my journey immediately. Camp California in Croatia is an international summer camp on the Dalmatian Coast. It is a wonderful organization that teaches English through activity for their campers that come from all over the world. If you are willing and ready to put your whole heart into this job, be full of energy, and play by the camp’s rules then you will have the best summer of your life.

I took the ITA 11-Week Online TEFL Course which I highly recommend - I loved it. I started in Croatia at a summer camp called Camp California before moving cities to look for full-time work. I am now the year 4 teacher at Bright Horizons in Zagreb - we are a British International School. I teach music, art, English, and international primary curriculum. If you want to teach English in Croatia, I recommend not sending emails, they don't respond - they prefer phone calls or in-person visits so being in the country is important.
