Let's work together!
I have taught the Online TEFL Certification Course since March 2018.
BS in Spanish Education from the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse and MA in TESOL from The New School.
I have taught abroad in South Korea and Macau.
Belize, Cambodia, Canada, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, England, France, Guatemala, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Myanmar, Netherlands, Panama, Philippines, Portugal, South Korea, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Vatican City, and Vietnam.
My favorite memory is from Tsushima, Japan. Tsushima is a small island located off the west coast of Japan near South Korea where I was living. My friend and I were on an adventure; walking from the top of the island to the bottom. While we were setting up camp in a local park an older Japanese couple approached us. We didn’t speak Japanese, but thankfully they spoke Korean. They invited us to spend the night at their house and we accepted! They took us out to dinner with their friends and the next day they drove us all around the island showing us their favorite places. We ended up spending our whole trip with that lovely couple. Although it wasn’t the trip we had intended on having, it ended up being so much better.
Study the language a bit before you go, and continue to study it once you arrive! This will allow you to connect with your co-workers, students, and the local community immediately.
